It shall be unlawful for a person to allow or permit human remains to be buried in the city, except in cemeteries organized and operated by the city, a cemetery district, private corporation, or religious group where such cemetery has been surveyed and platted and is in accordance with the zoning regulations of the city.

Human remains buried in violation of this ordinance shall be removed from such location and reburied in a designated cemetery. All costs associated with such removal or reburial shall be assessed against the individual responsible for the improper burial.
