A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF OAKLEY, KANSAS FROM K.S.A. 79-4001 et seq., AND K.S.A. 12-1215 et seq., AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT; AND REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 16.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OAKLEY, KANSAS

SECTION 1: EXEMPTION. The City of Oakley, Kansas, a city of the third class by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself from and make inapplicable, the City of Oakley to the provisions of K.S.A. 79-4001 et seq. and K.S.A. 12-1215 et seq. as amended, and provided substitute and additional provisions as hereinafter provided.

SECTION 2: The tax rate for library purposes shall not exceed 11.0 mills.

SECTION 3: Charter Ordinance No. 16 is hereby repealed.
