Before water shall be furnished to any premises in the city, the person, firm or corporation requesting such service shall make application therefor to the city clerk, who shall then charge and collect a service connection fee as shall be determined from time to time by resolution of the governing body of the city; provided, however, that such fee shall not be required of any person, firm or corporation, as landlord, to maintain service subsequent to the termination of any lease on property owned by the landlord.

The service connection fee provided for in this article shall be credited to the water utility fund and shall not thereafter be refundable to the customer-applicant.

Should water service be disconnected to a leased premises, and a request be made by the owner/landlord for a temporary reconnect ion of service for a period of less than thirty days, there shall be a fee assessed for the temporary reconnection and disconnection of ten dollars, which shall be paid before water services shall be furnished to such premises within the city of Oakley.

When a request for a temporary water hookup is received by the city building official, the fee for the temporary water hookup will be as follows:

3/4” line water meter

 $ 25.00

1” line water meter

 $ 30.00
