A CHARTER ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAKLEY, KANSAS, ELIMINATING THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED UNDER CHARTER ORDINANCE No. 15. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OAKLEY. KANSAS:

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Oakley, Kansas, has determined mat me Convention and Tourism Committee for the City of Oakley, Kansas is not necessary for me efficient operation of the City of Oakley; and

WHEREAS, under K.S.A. 12-16.101, the Convention and Tourism Committee is not required.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the governing body of me City of Oakley, Kansas:

SECTION I. The City of Oakley, Kansas, a city of the third class, by me power invested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of me Constitution of me Stale of Kansas hereby adopts the following: The Convention and Tourism Committee for the City of Oakley, Kansas, is hereby eliminated.

2. All duties of the Convention and Tourism Committee are re-assigned to the governing body of the City of Oakley, Kansas.
