A CHARTER ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAKLEY, KANSAS, ELIMINATING THE OFFICE OF CITY TREASURER AND TRANSFERRING THE DUTIES OF THE CITY TREASURER TO THE CITY CLERK.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OAKLEY, KANSAS:

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Oakley Kansas has determined that the office of City Treasurer is not necessary for the efficient operation of the City of Oakley; and

WHEREAS, under K.S.A. 15-204, the office of City Treasurer is not required;

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Oakley. Kansas, has determined that the duties of the City Treasurer specified in the Ordinances of the City of Oakley, Kansas, should be transferred to the City Clerk.

SECTION I. The City of Oakley, Kansas, by the power invested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby adopts the following:

1. The office of City Treasurer for the City of Oakley, Kansas, is hereby eliminated.

2. All duties of the office of the City Treasurer for the City of Oakley, Kansas, are hereby transferred to the City Clerk.
